What is it about fresh air that get me in the mood for writing? It's one of those days when every living thing seems so happy! Dogs wag their tails, trees and plants stand tall and the white fluffy clouds seem like vulgar distractions on the immaculate blueness of the sky. - Even in Peckham!
If you look at Peckham in London on the internet you will probably find crime statistics, news of poverty and abuse, pretty much all the trimmings that comes with an innercity of a huge town. If you ask anyone who's been there, they'll undoubtedly say some derogatory remarks such as; Ah Peckam! It's a pit! - Well, not all of it. There is this lovely park with an amazing variety of plants, wild birds and even water critters in the numerous ponds. Mike and I took Boadie the doggie for a run. He is such a happy pooch. Squirrel chasing is the best fun on earth! :o) Anyways, I thought I make the most of the lovely sunshine and stock up on local pictures for those 'homesick' days in S. Korea. My lovely friend Darren subscribed to FLiCKr for me for 2 years. What a guy!!! :o) - Interestingly just as I was considering that option this morning. Ah the power of telepathy! I never considered it much, but last week there was a lecture at college by Rupert Sheldrake on which I stumbled upon completely by chance while getting my transcript sorted for the work visa. Mike actually new about this scientist and suggested we should go. Apparently Sheldrake had proven that telepathy does as a matter of fact exist and he suggested that the subject should be treated as science and able to get proper funding for further research. Hmmm I'm by no means opposed to progress and open minded enough to go with the idea - the above example is just one of many typical examples of such huge coincidences. - but I'm a bit worried about the application of the research results. - Some no-good things can come of it - well it could of course be said about nuclear research and we all know what came of that, but then again if we put stop to science due to fear, we might as well move back up on the trees or even further back, in the sea....Now THAT's an idea! ;o)
