I got on the the metro going in the wrong direction yesterday. Easy mistake to make as the signs can be a bit confusing. There are so many of them and all in at least two different alphabets. But the little detour wasn't so bad as I happened to be in 'observant mode'. As opposed to philosopical, problem solving or creative modes which would have made me miss this little gem; Koreans can't stay still. I mean we all findget sometimes but the people here seem to do it constantly. If you look at a tube carrige in London you'll see rows of still people staring in front/down or reading. In Seoul they talk on the phone (or watch TV on it), play on game gadgets, munching snacks, endlessly rummage in their handbags or just twitching their fingers, mouth, feet and whatever else can be moved. It's quiet funny to watch. I was playing an imaginary music video in my mind where the people fidgeted and twitched on beat.
The picture has nothing to do with fidgeting (so one hopes)but kinda'fits here. Magic Clean Toilet Seats. Warm, self-cleaning and have more controls than a Boeing 747! I used one in a shopping mall but must admit despite my daredevil nature I chickened out of pushing all the buttons. (Just in case it'd squirt my butt with some stinky perfumed water or/and dust it with talc or some other nonsense.
