Future Uncovered

Seung Wan made an interesting observation last night. He was astonished by the extent of flash bearing by young Korean women. The sight of so much skin is even more surprising in a country where only a few years ago shorts and mini skirts were banned. This summer young women are wearing skirts so short that one does not even need to pay very close attention to make out Minnie Mouse on their panties. I'm not talking about 6 years olds here but mainly over 20th whose mother no longer controls their daughters' choices. It seems that Korea's youth is beginning to awaken to the idea of self-liberation. Though not 60's like, this society is way to tight for that just yet. But, it seems that the 'tigers' of this Hermit Kingdom are rattling their cages more than ever. I wonder what will blow the chains off these proud, free spirited nation that has been tied by Confucian ideals for so long.
