Lima week

I'm hungry. Strange really after the feast we had yesterday. Girlie called Jenny and I decided a little treat is in order and participated in the 'feast of the Saint Marriott' I.e. paid good soles to graze through the hotel's Seafood buffet offerings which were not negligible. Ate all manners of sea critters and so on over the view of Humboldt wrapped beach. It was a good day when everything worked out.
Lima has a weird kind of draw/shove. Most get out faster than they got in. I like its quirkiness. Lots of good food too. The hostel I'm staying at Hostel Espana look! Need to say more?
I'm looking at the giant forlorn head of 'David' missing the rest of him it seems.
Going to stay till Monday as there are some weird, colourful Catholic festival is on today for the patron saint of Flower shops then eat my way through the biggest Gastronomical festival of the year on Sunday. Guinea pigs will feature no doubt, will report.
First few days were sent Couch Surfing with Marco nice Liman boy. Took me to his folks’ ranch down at a desert oasis like place near Chincha. there were cows. And nice people. Don Leandro Perez the papa of Marco is an 87 year young very jolly gold mining engineer. We took to each other instantly. had some lovely conversations. My Spanish is returning.

The family (pa, ma Marco and his bro and I) travelled down to Paracas National Park which doesn’t look totally unlike the Sahara and the Sinai mix desert with rocky coast bathing in blue sky. Lovely really. Lost the pics though through unfortunate card reader mishap. Rest of ranch is ok, here: Vicky’s Perez Ranch pics
